The aroma of brewed coffee can surely stimulate the senses. But most persons will start feeling the effects more after sipping since this is when the effects of coffee really happen.

What are exactly the effects of coffee? Studies have shown this can boost someone's vigilance, improve performance and concentration. It is because of this that many have coffee while studying for an exam, to help waking up in the morning or work during night shifts.

The main ingredient in coffee is caffeine. Research shows that it is harmless to drink one or two cups a day. However, those who exceed this can suffer the negative effects such as headaches, difficulty sleeping, irregular heartbeat, muscle tension and nausea. This can also lead to heartburn or ulcer, which is why specialists also recommend people to drink in a moderate way.

Coffee isn't good for women who are pregnant or patients who have heart disease and they should avoid it since it can cause birth defects or other health problems.

But those who drink coffee can also have the same effects by drinking substances that contain caffeine. For example, chocolate, sodas or tea.

Coffee would not make the person do something foolish which is generally associated with the use of illegal substances or alcohol. But it may form a habit. Those who drink it regularly and abruptly stop may feel what is called a withdrawal effects that will fade away after a day or two when they can once again drink a cup of coffee.

But coffee has been known to prevent certain diseases. For instance, Java works as an anti-depressant, this is what I call good effects of coffee. The chances of developing Parkinson's disease in men is lessen by other types of coffee even if doctors are not yet able to determine the cause of this disease.

Coffee is being consumed in almost every household. It can be brewed at home or in the office, or bought from the store. The effects of coffee has on people may vary with another depending on how the body reacts to the caffeine so when the person feels this is enough, it is time to stop rather than feeling the negative effects of using too much.
