Even then, many traditional areas of New Orleans may never again be rebuilt due to insurance concerns about the water levels in certain parts of the historic city. With rebuilding costs already estimated to exceed 200 billion dollars, the idea that people could even consider embarking on outdoor adventures in the great state of Louisiana any time in the near future seems implausible.
